How do I e-mail my QuickBooks data so TNT Taxes can prepare my return?

Backup a copy of your company's data to a spot on your hard drive.  I recommend C:\Temp.  If you have a spot that you are used to using then go ahead and use that spot (ex. MyDocuments).  Prepare your e-mail like normal and got to attachments.  Go to the spot that you backed up your e-mail and you should see the file sitting there.  Hit attach and then send to Renee@TNTtaxes.com

What is QuickBooks and why do I want to use it?

QuickBooks is a user friendly software program that keeps track of your company's data.  By using QuickBooks you are able to cut costly accounting fees by doing the work yourself.  It also allows you to print out reports such as a Profit and Loss and a Balance Sheet at the touch of your finger tips.  QuickBooks will assist you with:

  • Printing your own checks                                
  • Calculating and keeping track of payroll (easily)
  • Keeping track of receivables and payables
  • Printing invoices and estimates
  • Keeping track of inventory
  • Reconciling your check book

Do I have to have QuickBooks to keep track of my company's income and expenses?

No! QuickBooks is not your only option.  There all kinds of software out on the market.  Some of the other software on the market is:

  • Peachtree
  • Mind Your Own Business (MYOB)
  • Microsoft Money
  • One Write

QuickBooks is the only software that our office supports.

Do I have to be a bookkeeper or a computer expert to use QuickBooks?

Bookkeeper - NO -  You do not have to be a bookkeeper or an accountant to use QuickBooks.  QuickBooks must be set up properly and you must have the proper training.

Computer Expert - No - You do not have to be a computer expert to use QuickBooks. 

Our office will setup, install and train you on QuickBooks.

How much time does it take to install, setup and train on QuickBooks?

Installation and Setup take approximately an hour for the basic set up. 

Training depends on your level of knowledge of computers and bookkeeping.  We give you the basics so that you can go back and start filling in the data.  If you feel that you need more training then we will schedule another appointment to come back out and do more training as needed.  Most people are able to pick up the basics in just a few hours of training.  After that if they have additional questions, they can call our office at no charge to answer questions.

Do you have to come to my house to train me?

No! Our office offers Virtual Support.  We are able to directly link to your computer via the internet using a program similar to PC Anywhere.  It is a one time link up through your authorization that allows our office to look at what your computer.  We are also able to fix problems and get data via Virtual Support.  Please call our office at (561) 746-3446 or e-mail Renee@TNTtaxes.com for more information on this service.
